In our family, spice is a way of life. And when it comes to hot sauce, Flavor Matters.
We use a specific variety of fresh ingredients, unique Ethiopian and Southern spices, and our American co-founder's knowledge of Cajun Creole cuisine to create a magical blend of bold flavors that aren’t typically found in American cuisine.
Flavor vs. Heat: We have crafted our hot sauce to deliver just the right amount of heat, providing a flavorful kick without being overwhelming.
Versatility: Our hot sauce can be used with a wide variety of foods, such as meats, vegetables, soups, stews, sandwiches, and more. Its unique flavor profile makes it an excellent choice for adding a bold and spicy kick to any dish.

A Journey Through Ethiopia & the South
Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. New Orleans. Asheville, NC. Austin, TX. These are the places our family has called home and the culinary environments which inspired our signature hot sauce. We are two Ethiopian sisters, an American, and a whole lot of spices. Our kitchen is always a mélange of food cultures: Ethiopian meets Cajun Creole, Africa meets The South. Every dish is a hybrid between the zest of the French Quarter, the sauces of Addis Ababa, the fresh hotness of Tex-Mex, and the tang of The Carolinas. And it is in that spirit that we created The Original Ethiopian Hot Sauce™ and THE HOT Ethiopian Hot Sauce™. This is our way of sharing our love of our multicultural home cuisine with you.
In our family, the flavoring of our food is a sacred process. Our Ethiopian Mother, Naomi, and our American mother, Cynthia, both have a key principle when it comes to food: Spice is a way of life. And that principle is something we live by. When we prepare a dish, we use a very specific variety of fresh ingredients, as well as unique Ethiopian & Southern spices. Our American co-founder is a native of The South, with roots in the Cajun Creole cuisine of New Orleans, Tex-mex, as well as southern soul foods in the Carolinas. His mother Cynthia is a master of Cajun Creole, so growing up in a household that mixed creole spices and soul food recipes, he brings an American perception of what a hot sauce should be. And as Ethiopians, we sisters bring a magic for bold flavors and sauces that aren’t typically found in American cuisine, especially in southern styled hot sauces. Our mother, Naomi, is a master at creating the very best of Ethiopian Cuisine. Every time our mother was in the kitchen, the whole neighborhood was excited (and she fed most all of them). And so here we all are! Drawing inspiration from our mothers, blending two beloved food cultures, bringing you something new!
